Relationship & Couples Psychotherapy
Like each of us as individuals, our relationships change over time, and sometimes require help in getting back on track. All couples have disagreements and struggles, but you may feel things have gone beyond that. I work with people who are both single and struggling with areas of relationship, as well with as couples.
My approach to relationship therapy, sometimes referred to as “couples counselling” or “marriage counselling,” combines a focus on improving communication and intimacy, in ways that are practical and helpful, as well as addressing underlying patterns that affect both partners, that may be out of your awareness.

My role is not to take sides or find blame, but to help each of you reconnect with yourselves and each other, as a means to strengthen, deepen and evolve the relationship. In our work together I will offer practical ways of dealing with the problems you are encountering, and give attention to deep or long-lasting struggles that have been difficult to recognize and resolve.

Couples therapy sessions generally last 1 to 2 hours and the fee per hour is $275.00 (plus GST). Occasionally we may schedule a longer session if the need arises. Regularity of sessions are scheduled according to client need and preference.
Insurance
Some health insurance plans cover the cost of counselling with a registered clinical counsellor. Please check your insurance policy to see if counselling with a "registered clinical counsellor" is covered.
